Janet Clarkson was an avid participant in many
racing events. She loved Bicycle competition, as well as running
in Marathons. She met many friends in these endeavors, and was
loved and admired in the sports communities in San Francisco and
San Diego.
Janet loved a challenge, and was always up to meeting
them as they came along. Swimming, Biking, Hiking, Running,
these were Janet’s favorite things to do during the summer
months. She was also an avid slope skier.
Janet passed away at
age 37 from Ewing’s Sarcoma, a tissue cancer, in November of
2001.
This Triathlon, name after Janet, is designed to
provide a yearly scholarship for the West Yellowstone High School,
and funds for the American Cancer Society.
